There's a frisky featherweight fracas forthcoming for UFC 168 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which is set to go down inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Dec. 28, 2013.
Dennis Siver vs. Manny Gamburyan.
Siver (21-9) saw his two-fight winning streak come to an end by way of first-round technical knockout back in July, after trying to get loud with surging division contender Cub Swanson. Prior to his misstep against the former WEC slugger, the German kickboxer notched decision wins over Diego Nunes and Nam Phan.
Not too shabby.
Conversely, Gamburyan (13-7) has scored consecutive wins for the first time in over three years, convincing the judges he was better than Michihiro Omigawa and Cole Miller, respectively. "The Anvil" was also season five runner-up on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF).
Should be a war.
"Weidman vs. Silva 2" will be headlined by the biggest middleweight title fight in history, as newly-crowned champion Chris Weidman tries to go two-up on former 185-pound kingpin Anderson Silva.
The co-main event will feature UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey in a second go-round with former Strikeforce nemesis and fellow Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 17 coach Miesha Tate.
