Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was in the main lobby of the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Tuesday (Sept. 24, 2013) holding a special UFC 168 pre-fight press conference (video) as part of its "Weidman vs. Silva 2" media world tour, which will descend upon seven cities in just seven days.
I hope they aren't afraid of flying.
Chris Weidman will put his 185-pound title on the line against the man he took it from, former pound-for-pound kingpin Anderson Silva, when they hook 'em up for a second time in the pay-per-view (PPV) main event from the same building they were holed up in earlier this afternoon, talking shop with the mixed martial arts (MMA) media.
And on Dec. 28, 2013, we either close the book on this feud, or prepare for an epic trilogy.
Both "All American" and "The Spider" were on the dais to field questions from reporters and at the conclusion of today's festivities, champion and challenger came nose-to-nose for the first time since their championship title fight back at UFC 162 over Fourth of July Weekend.
Oh, hello goosebumps.
