UFC 165: "Jones vs. Gustafsson" from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, has officially wrapped, which means it's time for those select fighters who went above and beyond in their respective fights to get a little extra grease for their efforts.
To the tune of $50,000 each.
The promotion dished out its standard post-fight monetary bonuses to four of the 24 fighters on the card, and it's probably no surprise who's heading home with a second sack of simoleons.
That goes double for the event headliner, Jon Jones vs. Alexander Gustafsson, and the back-and-forth war of attrition they had that resulted in the "Fight of the Night". Hell, like Joe Rogan said, this may have been the greatest light heavyweight championship showdown in the history of the promotion.
Elsewhere, Renan Barao ran away with "Knockout of the Night" honors thanks to a spinning back kick destruction of Eddie Wineland, while Mitch Gagnon's first round guillotine finish of Dustin Kimura was good enough to earn him "Submission of the Night".
Here are the special fight bonuses for UFC 165:
Knockout of the Night -- Renan Barao
Submission of the Night -- Mitch Gagnon
Fight of the Night -- Jon Jones vs. Alexander Gustafsson
Again, each fighter received $50,000 extra for their performances in addition to their respective base salaries, which we will pass along as soon as that information becomes available.
