Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has added a light heavyweight match-up to UFC Fight Night 33 on FOX Sports 1, featuring Ryan Bader vs. Anthony Perosh, emanating from the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Queensland, Australia, on December 7, 2013.
UFC announced the 205-pound battle on Thursday.
Bader (15-4) is probably in a big hurry to erase the memory of his technical knockout loss to Glover Teixeira, which came during the UFC Fight Night 28 event earlier this month in Brazil. "Darth" was shut down for the second time in a little over a year, after Machida pasted him at UFC on FOX 4 in late 2012.
The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 8 champ is just 3-4 since suffering his first professional defeat against Jon Jones at UFC 128.
Perosh (14-7) is the polar opposite, riding high after a stunning, 14-second knockout over TUF 8 runner-up Vinny Magalhaes, which took place at UFC 163 back in August. "The Hippo" is now 4-1 over his last five, with all four wins coming by way of knockout or submission.
Who ya' got?
UFC Fight Night 33: "Hunt vs. Bigfoot" will feature a titanic heavyweight tilt pitting former PRIDE and K-1 striker Mark Hunt against Brazilian behemoth Antonio Silva. Other matches include Mauricio Rua vs. James Te Huna and Pat Barry vs. Soa Palelei.
