UFC 165 video: Jon Jones predicts total domination of Alexander Gustafsson in Toronto

The champ is sounding pretty confident heading into tomorrow night's bangfest. Too confident?

I've got bad news for mixed martial arts (MMA) fans hoping to see a competitive main event at UFC 165 this Saturday night (Sept. 21, 2013) at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

It's going to be total domination.

That's according to UFC Light Heavyweight Champion and part-time "Blackneck," Jon Jones, who puts his 205-pound title on the line against Alexander Gustafsson tomorrow night in "Hogtown."

"I think Alexander uses his reach really well, but he doesn’t use his as well as I use mine. If you watch his fights, he gets hit in the face a lot. He does a lot of things that I do, but I think I do them better. I think [heavyweight is] in my near future. I’m excited about moving up and challenging some of these guys. If Cain can do what he’s done at that weight, I believe I can do it as well. I do things that heavyweights aren’t used to seeing. You’ll be able to witness a dream come true [at UFC 165]. You’ll see me surpass Tito’s record. I’m more dominant than ever. My cardio is better than ever. My tactics are better than ever. It’ll be domination baby!"

It wouldn't be the first time.

Outside of his laugher against Matt Hamill a few years back, which ended by way of disqualification after "Bones" hammered his opponent with a couple of 12-6 elbows, the former collegiate wrestler has been perfect and will try for his record-breaking sixth-straight title defense in Toronto.

If he gets it, expect this prophecy to come true sooner rather than later.
