Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez have officially arrived at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada (watch them do it here) for their blockbuster championship boxing showdown on Showtime pay-per-view (PPV) this weekend (Sat., Sept. 14, 2013).
The promotional push has shifted into overdrive, the final stretch of appearances before the talk is over and the fight begins.
Mayweather Jr. -- who will defend his WBA (Super) Light Middleweight title -- and Canelo -- who will put his WBC and The Ring Light Middleweight belts on the line -- will continue those duties this afternoon at KA Theatre in MGM Grand Garden Arena for the final pre-fight press conference.
The final "Mayweather vs. Canelo" pre-fight conference is expected to begin at 4 p.m. ET (1 p.m. local), airing live from "Sin City" in the video player above. Fight fans can also catch it on Sports.SHO.com/live, MayweatherPromotions.com and GoldenBoyPromotions.com.
Both fighters will be on hand to share their final remarks, predictions and whatever else prior to fight night on Showtime. Of course, Mayweather Jr. and Canelo will also square up for a staredown, the second-to-last face-to-face meeting before fireworks start popping.
It's a scene that Golden Boy Promotions Founder and President, Oscar de la Hoya, will unfortunately have to miss because of his battle against addiction (full details here). However, it's one that you definitely shouldn't if you have the means to watch it live.
Even if you can't, we'll be sure to post the full "Mayweather vs. Canelo" final pre-fight press conference video replay, as well as the staredown pics, as soon as possible later this afternoon.
