Boxing's pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. and undefeated Mexican sensation Saul "Canelo" Alvarez took center stage in "Sin City" on Tuesday afternoon (Sept. 10, 2013) to officially kick off fight week from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
And it was a doozy.
Yesterday's fighter arrivals, which were free and open to the public (and utterly chaotic), were designed to get boxing fans hyped up for the "Mayweather vs. Canelo" Showtime pay-per-view (PPV) event this Saturday night (Sept. 14, 2013), also at MGM Grand.
Both super welterweight and junior middleweight titles are on the line in this weekend's 152-pound contest.
