It looks like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Vin Diesel officially have a new co-star.
During the past few days, rumors hit the Internet that Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's champion, Ronda Rousey, was in negotiations for a role in the seventh installment of the Fast & Furious franchise.
This afternoon, "The Rock" sent out a tweet to the millions and MILLIONS of his fans on twitter, letting everyone know that Rousey has signed on for the upcoming film.
She rocks my Championship belt better than me! My fam @UFC Champ @RondaRousey joins me in FAST & FURIOUS 7! #BringIt pic.twitter.com/Y5BOokomPf

She continues to follow in Gina Carano's footsteps, as Carano had a significant role as Riley Hicks in Fast & Furious 6. That films was a huge success, with a worldwide gross of $771.8 million, so the franchise still has legs with the movie-going public.
There isn't any word on the size of the role, but with Rousey's ability to capture the attention of media, it's likely she's going to see a decent amount of screen time. Filming is expected to begin this fall, with Rousey pulling double duty as she has to prepare for her title fight against Miesha Tate at UFC 168 while on set.
