Korean Zombie fractures face on top of shoulder separation at UFC 163

The stones -- and now cracks -- just keep on coming for the two fighters who competed in the UFC 163 main event.

Will it ever end?

Chan Sung Jung, in addition to separating his shoulder mid-punch in the UFC 163 main event last weekend (Sat., Aug. 3, 2013), reportedly sustained an orbital fracture thanks to Featherweight champion Jose Aldo, according to FOXSports.com.

"Korean Zombie" will visit with specialists later this week to determine the severity, as well as recovery periods, for both injuries. And who knows, at this rate, the South Korean might be walking around with a few more wounds that will soon be detected.

The good news is that Jung already indicated that surgery will not be required to repair his shoulder. However, face fractures can be dicey, just ask Josh Koscheck, who was out for nearly one year after his loss to Georges St. Pierre in Dec. 2012 (see carnage here).

And who could forget about Kyle Kingsbury, who got mangled by Jimi Manuwa at UFC on Fuel TV 5 (swollen shut eye pic here). He's now quasi-retired.

Of course, Jung was not the only battered and bruised mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter to leave the Octagon that night at HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In addition to his fourth round technical knockout, Aldo limped away with a broken foot. Not to be outdone, he was also treated in the hospital for kidney stones (details here), a sign that perhaps his days at 145 pound are perhaps numbered.

Animals.
