Jose Aldo successfully defends his featherweight championship by stopping Chan Sung Jung in the main event of last night's (Sat., Aug. 3, 2013) UFC 163: "Aldo vs. Korean Zombie" pay-per-view (PPV) event at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. "Scarface," the long reigning 145-pound kingpin, had some help along the way, as "The Korean Zombie" suffered a dislocated shoulder during an exchange just before the finish came. It's entirely possible Aldo would have emerged victorious anyway and the injury wouldn't have affected the eventual outcome, but at the very least it's something worth taking note of. If nothing else, Sung Jung was hanging tough for almost 20 full minutes before he went down at the hands of one of the pound-for-pound best in the fight game today. So there's that. But what's next for Aldo? I'll let you Maniacs decide. For more on Aldo vs. Korean Zombie click here, and for complete UFC 163 results and blow-by-blow coverage of all the night's action click here.
