Chael Sonnen vs. Rashad Evans? 'Suga' accepts 'Bad Guy's' challenge for UFC 167 co-main event slot on Nov. 16 in Las Vegas

How badly does Chael Sonnen want to fight in the UFC 167 co-main event? Badly enough to call out his friend and fellow broadcast partner, Rashad Evans.

Well, it's not Wanderlei Silva, but hey, it's not Phil Davis, either.

The Chael Sonnen lottery continues for the upcoming UFC 167: "St. Pierre vs. Hendricks" pay-per-view (PPV) event, scheduled for Nov. 16, 2013 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"The American Gangster" has been clamoring for a spot on the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 20th anniversary fight card, originally calling out "dirtbag" Silva. Unfortunately, "The Axe Murderer" said everything but "yes," due to lingering health issues, so their grudge match has been postponed.

For now.

UFC President Dana White hinted that "Mr. Wonderful" could be next in line for the former middleweight; however, the news of a potential Sonnen vs. Davis bout went over like a lead balloon, prompting the self-proclaimed "Bad Guy" to revisit a potential showdown against Rashad Evans.

They've been teasing it for over a year (see their staredown pic here).

Like anything Sonnen related, nothing is official until the promotion says so, but when challenged, "Suga" told his Instagram followers that he was ready, willing and able to put his friendship aside to trade leather with his fellow FOX Sports analyst.

Its on and poppin!! Today @sonnench Chael extended an invitation I couldn't turn down! He is my friend but I will put that aside to fight him! We can go back to being friends after I beat that ass!! #ufc167

Both fighters are coming off wins over former PRIDE FC champions.

Evans (18-3) slipped past Dan Henderson by way of split decision at the UFC 161 PPV event back in June. Sonnen (28-13), meanwhile, choked out Mauricio Rua at the UFC Fight Night 26 broadcast on FOX Sports 1 a few weeks ago in Boston.

But the clock is ticking.

UFC 167 is less than three months away, so expect an opponent for Sonnen to be announced sooner rather than later. With this little back-and-forth making the social media rounds, do you think it's a fight worth making? And who comes out on top if and when they do hook 'em up?

Opinions, please.
