Surging Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight Matt Brown crushed Mike Pyle by way of knockout on the main card of UFC Fight Night 26 on FOX Sports 1, which emanated from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, on August 17, 2013.
The devastating finish marked his sixth win in a row, as well as his fourth-straight stoppage.
Whether or not that makes him a title contender, remains to be seen. But there is little argument against him facing an opponent ranked in the top 10 for his next trip to the Octagon, possibly even the top five. There aren't too many fresh faces with his path of destruction who are on such a torrid win streak.
Beside Johny Hendricks.
It will be interesting to see how the division shakes out when "Bigg Rigg" locks up with Georges St. Pierre at the upcoming UFC 167 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which goes down on Nov. 16, 2013, from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Whatever happens, expect "The Immortal" to be right there in the mix.
