"I felt like I had him -- we were still pretty dry out there, it was still early. When you're in a position like that, more than anything, what you are thinking about is your lock. If you can find your lock, you go for the submission, and I knew I had my lock."
- Chael Sonnen talks to FOX Sports Live following his tapout victory over Mauricio Rua at last night's (Sat., Aug. 17, 2013) UFC Fight Night 26: "Shogun vs. Sonnen" event at the TD Garden Arena in Boston, Massachusetts. Sonnen, not known for his slick submission skills, nor his propensity for working from his back, surprisingly decided to pull guard during the light heavyweight showdown in an attempt at jumping a guillotine. It was a risky move, considering he would have been left in a highly undesirable position had his plan gone awry. Thankfully, for him at least, it did not and "Shogun" was forced to tap from the hold. The victory puts "The American Gangster" in line for another big fight, but against who? Stay tuned.
