UFC 162 Quick Quote: Was Anderson Silva vs Chris Weidman fight fixed?

Believe it or not, there were some wondering aloud after UFC 162 if the Anderson Silva vs. Chris Weidman main event middleweight championship bout was fixed. You'll enjoy promotion President Dana White's answer.

USA TODAY Sports

"That's the stupidest fucking thing I've ever heard in my life."

-- That's why we love Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White; short and to the point. That was his response to an inquiry made by one daring individual who actually offered up the grand idea that it was at all possible that Anderson Silva getting knocked out by Chris Weidman in the main event of UFC 162 last night (Sat., July 6, 2013) at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, was a fix. Yes, that's actually a real thing some are believing at this point in time, which may or may not show how little faith most fans had in Weidman's chances at actually pulling off what, by fight night, was only a moderate upset at the sportsbooks. "The Spider" was cocky, sure, but was it bad enough to actually ponder the notion that he was throwing the fight? It's definitely fair to wonder how different the bout would have looked had the Brazilian taken his opponent more seriously and not spent as much time with his hands at his waist begging to have his chin touched. But to go so far as to say the fix was in? That's quite the stretch. Unless we've got some conspiracy theorists amongst you Maniacs who have some solid evidence to the contrary...
