"They're both interesting [fights for me]. [Renan] Barao, he's a big - they're both big 135ers, I think Dominick [Cruz] has the better wrestling, he has the better footwork, and movement, he's shown that he can fight all five rounds and I've fought him before. Renan Barao is tough, he finishes his guys and he's more dangerous because he goes out there and he goes out for the kill."
-- Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) flyweight titleholder Demetrious Johnson compares the skills of UFC bantamweight and interim bantamweight champions Dominick Cruz and Renan Barao at UFC on FOX 8 post-fight press conference (watch it here). Following his successful title defense against John Moraga in the main event on Saturday (July 27, 2013), "Mighty Mouse" mentioned the possibility of moving up to 135 pounds and facing Cruz or Barao in a "super fight." He was asked which man he would rather take on in a champion vs. champion affair, and while the 26-year-old said he would be happy to go to battle with either, he feels the Brazilian is the "more dangerous" fighter of the two because he tries to put his opponents away inside the distance while Cruz's style --much like Johnson's-- revolves around dragging his opponents into deep waters and scoring points for a decision victory.
