The Ultimate Fighting Championship's (UFC) third FOX Sports 1 fight card, UFC Fight Night 28, is quickly to filling up with the addition of a welterweight affair between Kenny Robertson and Joao Zeferino.
Both men are coming off decision losses in their last trip to the Octagon and will look to rebound with a victory when they clash inside Jornalista Feilpe Drumond Stadium in Belo Horizonte, Brazil on Sept. 4, 2013.
UFC officials recently confirmed the 170-pound match up.
Robertson (12-3) has been rather inconsistent since returning to the UFC in July 2012, going a subpar 1-2 with decision losses to Aaron Simpson and Sean Pierson. The 29-year-old is 1-3 with the organization overall over two separate stints.
The one moment of glory Robertson did have inside the Octagon, though, was at UFC 157 when he tapped out Brock Jardine with a modified kneebar to earn "Submission of the Night" honors.
Zeferino (13-5) will get a second chance to score his first UFC victory after dropping a rather unimpressive decision to longtime veteran of the organization Rafael Natal. His fight with Natal took place at middleweight; however, for this fight the 27-year-old has opted to drop a weight class to welterweight.
"The Brazilian Samurai" has earned nine of his 13 professional victories by way of submission.
UFC Fight Night 28 will serve as a lead-in to The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) season 18 debut and features a light heavyweight main event of Glover Teixeira vs. Ryan Bader.
