Video: Dana White on Rampage vs. Jones Jr., Ronda Rousey's movie, the Biogenesis report and more

UFC President talks to Ariel Helwani about the biggest topics in the world of mixed martial arts (MMA).ahead of UFC on FOX 8: "Johnson vs. Moraga".

Just 24 hours before UFC on FOX 8: "Johnson vs. Moraga," Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com caught up with Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White for a pre-fight interview on the latest happenings in his organization and in mixed martial arts (MMA).

It is a busy time for White, as the UFC is about to enter a stretch of six events in a 39-day span. With so much activity, there are plenty of notable topics to keep the MMA community buzzing. And in the interview with Helwani conducted on Friday (July 26, 2013) in Seattle, Wash., White addressed several of them.

For starters, White gave his opinion on the recent report former boxing champion Roy Jones Jr. was going to fight former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton Jackson on a pay-per-view (PPV) fight card before the end of the year.

Naturally once the subject of Bellator MMA and Viacom, who signed Jackson to a lucrative deal earlier this year, was brought up, the Las Vegas boss gave a spirited response and said he doesn't believe it will happen.

"First of all I think it sounds firmiliar. Okay, it sounds very familiar. They obviously saw that opportunity and, you know, Anderson [Silva] wasn't happening so they're jumping on it. It was never a guarantee that it was going to happen here but Viacom MMA does not like to spend money, you know? And if they want Roy Jones, they're going to have to pay Roy Jones some big money, so me personally, I don't believe it. I don't believe it cause Viacom MMA isn't going to spend that kind of money. Not to mention the fact that the number that they're having right now, nobody wants to watch their sh*t for free, now they want people to pay for it? And then what does boxing ‘Rampage' do? ‘Rampage' was having trouble in here, but he's going to box Roy? It's just weird, I don't believe it."

Another major story of note in the past week was the news UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is set to be casted for a small part in the upcoming Expendables 3 movie, something White voiced his support for due to the fact "Rowdy" came to him before accepting the role.

"One of the many things I love about Ronda is Ronda asked me if she could do the movie, and I was totally cool with it because it's not going to interfere with her training schedule or any of the things we'll do for December 28th, so I don't have a problem."

On a less than positive side, White addressed the news of MMA fighters being linked to the Biogenesis report. If any big-name fighters are connected, it would be a bad look for the UFC, and while White admits he doesn't know much about the subject, he is hoping no one signed to his organization is involved.

"I did not know that until you just said it. That's all I f*cking need. Yeah that's all I need. That would suck. I hope that's not the case. I hope any of those MMA guys aren't mine."
