And it's all over!
Veteran mixed martial arts (MMA) referee Josh Rosenthal, who was a fixture under the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) banner, was sentenced today (July 2, 2013) in U.S. District Court in Oakland, California.
Rosy will do 37 months behind bars with no possibility for parole, according to MMA Fighting.
The veteran man in black plead guilty to conspiracy to manufacture and distribute marijuana, as well as possession with intent to distribute after federal agents found him running a weed warehouse in "O-Town" with 1,356 marijuana plants (details here).
Estimated street value? More than $6 million.
According to the report, Rosenthal -- who was officiating as recently as last May for Showdown Fights in Utah -- will also face a three-year supervised release and must pay a $100 special assessment fee. Small potatoes considering how long he'll rot in the clink.
