Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White provided one of his most unforgettable interviews ever on Friday's (July 19, 2013) edition of SI Now when discussing the conspiracy theories surrounding the UFC 162 main event between Chris Weidman and Anderson Silva.
From the moment Weidman knocked "The Spider" out on July 6, 2013 there has been chatter throughout the mixed martial arts (MMA) community regarding whether or not the result of the fight was a "fix".
It wasn't the first time such a topic has been broached in the sport; however, it was taken to another level when Sports Illustrated put out a video with a panel of "experts" who weighed in on exactly why or why not the result of the fight could have been predetermined.
For such a credible media outlet, it was quite surprising to see a video put out with discussion on a topic that has zero foundation or factual evidence, and White was not happy about it to say the least.
The boss of the world's premier MMA organization first voiced his displeasure over the SI video in a recent interview with ESPN, saying that anyone who thinks the fight was fixed is an "absolute moron."
That was just the beginning, though, as just days after that interview SI Now invited White on to discuss the issue, and it most certainly did not go down smoothly as White exploded on host Maggie Gray in order to throw water on the conspiracy theory flames once and for all.
