Invicta FC 6 from the Ameristar Hotel and Casino in Kansas City, Missouri, has officially wrapped, which means it's time for those select fighters who went above and beyond in their respective fights to get a little extra grease for their efforts.
Although we don't know exactly how much that was.
The promotion dished out its post-fight monetary bonuses to four of the 24 fighters on the card there was some healthy competition.
While both "Knockout of the Night" and "Submission of the Night" were relative no-brainers, the "Fight of the Night" bonus could have gone to any of four bouts on the 12-fight card. The main card opened with a thrilling battle between strawweight prospects Rose Namajunas and Tecia Torres.
That barnburner was followed by an extremely entertaining slugfest between Bec Hyatt and Mizuki Inoue. To no one's surprise, the bout between Leslie Smith and Jennifer Maia ended up being incredibly exciting and then the bantamweight showdown featuring Lauren Taylor and Sarah D'Alelio.
When it was all said and done, the output from Leslie Smith was enough for her bout to bring home the bacon. Also winning bonuses were former atomweight champion Jessica Penne for her last second first round submission of Nicdali Rivera-Calanoc and Miriam Nakamoto for her absolute destruction of Duda Yankovich via knees, elbows and punches in the first frame.
The official list of special post-fight bonuses for Invicta FC 6 were as follows:
Knockout of the Night -- Miriam Nakamoto
Submission of the Night -- Jessica Penne
Fight of the Night -- Leslie Smith vs. Jennifer Maia
Again, the terms of the bonuses were not disclosed, but they will be tacked on extra for their performances in addition to their respective base salaries.
