The Ultimate Fighting Championship's (UFC) third FOX Sports 1 fight card, UFC on FOX Sports 1 #3, is quickly to filling up with the additional of a pivotal bantamweight battle between Raphael Assuncao and T.J. Dillashaw.
Both men are coming off four-straight victories and will look to make it five in a row when they clash inside Jornalista Feilpe Drumond Stadium in Belo Horizonte, Brazil on Sept. 4, 2013.
Brazilian news outlet SporTV Globo announced the 135-pound match up on Friday (July 12, 2013); however, UFC officials have yet to confirm the contest.
Assuncao (20-4) has looked very strong since dropping down from the featherweight division in Aug. 2011, reeling off four-straight victories with the most recent being a second-round submission of Vaughan Lee at UFC on FUEL TV 10 in June.
Dillashaw (8-1) may have lost to John Dodson in the finale of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 14; however, he has improved by leaps and bounds since then and has finished his last three opponents inside the distance by (technical) knockout or submission.
UFC on FOX Sport 1 #3 will serve as a lead-in to the TUF season 18 debut and features a light heavyweight main event of Glover Teixeira vs. Ryan Bader.
