Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is set to pull the trigger on its monumental mixed martial arts (MMA) FOX Sports 1 debut TONIGHT (Sat., Aug. 17, 2013) live from TD Bank Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

UFC Fight Night 26: "Shogun vs. Sonnen" will feature a light heavyweight headliner that pits former 205-pound champion Mauricio Rua opposite ex-Middleweight contender Chael Sonnen, while a monster Heavyweight clash between Alistair Overeem vs. Travis Browne will rock the co-main event.

That's not all.

Longtime welterweight veteran Mike Pyle takes on the "Immortal" Matt Brown, while The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) veterans Michael Johnson vs. Joe Lauzon hook 'em up for a spot in the 155-pound pecking order.

Chael Sonnen vs. Mauricio Rua

Round one: Sonnen immediately takes Rua down, passing to half guard. Rua works his way back up to his feet along the fence and Rua takes Sonnen down! Rua is inside Sonnen's guard. Sonnen scrambles and thinks about a guillotine but they both clinch. Rua attempts a trip but Sonnen tosses him over his shoulder and he's on top again. Sonnen drops a few right hands and Rua is hanging on trying to stifle his offense. Sonnen throws some double punches to the body and Rua has full guard but Sonnen drops some big right and left hands. Sonnen drops big punches from top position and Rua tries to force a scramble but Sonnen wraps up his neck and drops back for a guillotine choke! The choke is very tight and Rua struggles to free himself but he taps! Wow! Pulled guard for it too. That was incredible.

Final result: Chael Sonnen defeats Mauricio Rua via submission (guillotine) at 4:47 of round one

Alistair Overeem vs. Travis Browne

Round one: Overeem steps forward and unloads some heavy knees to the body while pressing Browne into the fence. Browne throws him off and they reset in the cage center. Big body shot from Overeem but Browne throws a knee and a flying knee. Browne swings a haymaker and falls off balance and Overeem thinks about a guillotine choke. Overeem unloads with a knee to the body and some massive punches. Browne is covering up and just eating a tremendous amount of blows. Browne throws a few punches but Overeem goes back to the clinch. I have no idea how Browne is still conscious. Overeem scores a takedown but Browne pops back up. Browne wings some front kicks from distance trying to get back to using his length and he misses with a big right hand. Overeem clinches again and lands a good right hand. Both men look tired. Body kick from Browne and another kick drops Overeem! Oh my god, Browne drops down with another right hand and Overeem is done! WHAT!?!? WOWOWOWOW

Final result: Travis Browne defeats Alistair Overeem via knockout (front kick + punches) at 4:08 of round one

Yuri Alcantara vs. Urijah Faber

Round one: Faber steps forward and Alcantara throws him over and has full mount! Alcantara drops some punches and Faber tries to scramble but nearly gets caught in an armbar. Faber attacks Alcantara's leg but Alcantara squirms free and takes his back with both hooks in. Alcantara drops some big punches and hammer fists from behind and he's completely dominating Faber at the beginning here. Faber rolls again and Alcantara doesn't quite have the same dominant position. Faber lifts Alcantara over his head and slams him to the canvas with authority. Alcantara nearly has a triangle choke but Faber doesn't let him lock up his legs. Huge right hand just misses from Faber and he unloads with some big elbows. Faber postures up and drops some huge punches and Alcantara retains his guard but he's taking some damage. Massive elbows from Faber and he's doing a great job of getting back into the fight. 10-9 Alcantara but Faber has all the momentum now

Round two: Faber throws a head kick but eats a left hand and loses his balance. He pops back up and shoots in, slamming Alcantara to the ground. Faber works for some strikes on the ground but Alcantara is defending relatively well. Faber briefly stands looking to enter with more damage and he's hunting for a guillotine choke but settles with a series of nasty left elbows from above. Alcantara pops back to his feet and goes for a throw but Faber reverses it and lands inside his guard again. Huge left and right elbows from Faber and he stays on top until time expires. 10-9 Faber

Round three: They feel each other out for the first minute and Alcantara steps forward with a nice left hand but Faber shoots in for a takedown, but can't get it. Faber again closes the distance and secures a body lock which helps him drag Alcantara to the canvas. Alcantara tries to sweep him but Faber stays with him and goes back to dropping punches. Alcantara is game , trying to sweep Faber again but he can't get it. Armbar attempt from Alcantara but Faber passes to side control. Faber drops some good left hands until the fight finishes. 10-9 Faber

Final result: Urijah Faber defeats Yuri Alcantara via unanimous decision (30-26x2, 30-27)

Mike Pyle vs. Matt Brown

Round one: Big leg kick from Brown. Brown lands a big right hand and a left hand and Pyle is in BIG trouble! Big knee from Brown and Pyle drops to his back trying to defend himself with his guard but Brown unloads some huge right hands and Pyle is done. DAMN Brown is on one hell of a roll!

Final result: Matt Brown defeats Mike Pyle via knockout (punches) at 0:29 of round one

Uriah Hall vs. John Howard

Round one: Hall shoots in and immediately takes Howard down. Hall maneuvers Howard towards the fence but hasn't done much with the position other than be on top. He backs off and allows Howard back to his feet. They trade leg kicks and Hall scores with a pair of nasty left jabs. Huge wheel kick just misses for Hall and Howard lands another leg kick. That jab from Hall is nasty. Left hook connects for Howard and they clinch along the fence but Hall reverses the position and changes levels looking for a takedown. Knee from Hall and Howard responds with an elbow. Howard stuffs a takedown attempt from Hall and now looks for one of his own. Huge knee and straight left from Hall on the exit and he misses with a wheel kick at the end of the round. 10-9 Hall

Round two: Front from Hall and he wings a few kicks to the head and body. Hall lands a leg kick and presses forward with some left hands but can't connect. Hall shoots in again looking for a takedown but Howard fends it off and attempts a guillotine briefly. Hall lands a combination on the exit. Howard closes the distance looking for a takedown along the fence but Hall smacks him with a few elbows and knees up the middle. Howard throws hooks to the body but Hall reverses the position. Nice knee from Hall but Howard catches it and again looks for a takedown. Hall reverses it with a Kimura sweep and spins away from Howard's aggression, taking his back standing and throwing some knees to the back of his thigh. Howard explodes towards Hall throwing some hooks and hunts for a takedown, putting Hall on his back with 45 seconds to work. 10-9 Howard

Round three: Both men work each other over in the clinch and they're slowing down as the third round starts. Big knee from Hall but Howard grabs a leg and takes him down. Hall is trying to wall-walk back to his feet but Howard is hanging on for dear life. Hall pops to his feet but Howard throws some knees to the leg and Hall can't seem to escape the position. They separate, do a fist bump and Howard lands a nice shot, hurting Hall and dropping a HUGE right hand, advancing to mount right at the bell. 10-9 Howard

Final result: John Howard defeats Uriah Hall via split decision (30-27, 28-29, 29-28)

Michael Johnson vs. Joe Lauzon

Round one: Straight left from Johnson and both men circle each other in a first minute feeling-out process. Johnson wings a combination and lands a nice inside leg kick. Lauzon has yet to throw much offense, instead just pressing forward from the cage center. Clinch attempt from Lauzon and Johnson pops him with a body shot and a right uppercut to the body. Johnson looks really good here. Right hand from Lauzon and he still hasn't really made any moves and we're at the midway point of the first round. Straight left from Johnson cracks Lauzon and he drops but he was in trouble. Lauzon gets back to his feet and Johnson briefly swarms before being backed off with a right hand. Another left hand from Johnson and he throws a solid combination again. Lauzon just looks lost out there, very unusual for him. More big shots from Johnson and he lands some huge uppercuts, mixing it up to the head and body. Big pair of left hands and Lauzon drops again. Johnson forces Lauzon to stand with him again and he unloads some huge leg kicks and punches right until the horn. 10-8 Johnson

Round two: Lauzon initiates a clinch and presses Johnson into the fence. He's working for an underhook but can't secure it and Johnson resets in the cage center. Jab from Lauzon and Johnson looks like he's slowed down a bit. Nice right hand from Lauzon and they trade flurries but Lauzon covers up. Lauzon attacks with a few pawing left hands and scores with a knee in the clinch. Good right hand from Lauzon and they clinch briefly before separating again. Good exchange there where Johnson came out on top. Lauzon wades forward and Johnson changes levels takin ghim down with 15 seconds left and dropping a few hammer fists. 10-9 Johnson

Round three: Big combination from Johnson and then a knee to the body. Johnson unloads on Lauzon and then fends off a takedown attempt. Johnson is just outclassing Lauzon here so badly. Johnson just keeps scoring with punches, kicks and the occasional knee and Lauzon has nothing for him standing. Good straight punches from Johnson keeping Lauzon honest. Johnson closes the fight with a takedown for good measure. That was a domination. 10-9 Johnson

Final result: Michael Johnson defeats Joe Lauzon via unanimous decision (30-27x2, 30-25)

UFC FIGHT NIGHT 26 PLAY-BY-PLAY UNDER CARD "PRELIMS" COMMENTARY (FOX SPORTS 1):

Brad Pickett vs. Michael McDonald

Round one: Good leg kick from McDonald and he ducks a right hook. Heavy body kick from McDonald and he clips Pickett with a huge power shot. Both men trade HUGE bombs and they're just UNLOADING on each other. McDonald hurts Pickett really badly but Pickett pops back up. McDonald again unloads onto him and drops him again. Huge right hand from McDonald and Pickett is back on his feet again, backing McDonald off with a left hook. Oh my goodness! Knee to the body from McDonald and McDonald clinches briefly, taking Pickett down but they pop right back up. Pickett presses forward with a right hook and they exchange again on the inside. Heavy kick from McDonald and he drops Pickett again with a huge right hand. Pickett's recovery is insane and he's got his wits about him. McDonald backs off and they stand again. Huge knee from McDonald and a right hand and he scores again with a right and left as Pickett wades in. Nice right hand from Pickett and McDonald lands a big body kick. Good combination from McDonald and they trade lightning fast shots on the inside. Huge uppercut from McDonald and a right hand. I don't know how Pickett took all those shots and is still conscius. 10-8 McDonald

Round two: Good right hand from Pickett and he's back on the offensive again. Huge haymaker from Pickett misses and McDonald ducks under. Leg kick from Pickett and McDonald dodges most of his follow-up punches. McDonald scores a right hand but Pickett shoots in and takes him down, landing on top inside his full guard. Pickett throws a few elbows and punches but McDonald throws his legs up and he's got a triangle choke locked in! Pickett tries to escape but McDonald has it latched on tight and he forces Pickett to tap! Oh my god the application of that choke was incredible!

Final result: Michael McDonald defeats Brad Pickett via submission (triangle choke) at 3:43 of round two

Conor McGregor vs. Max Holloway

Round one: McGregor lands a side kick and wings a head kick. Holloway responds with a head kick of his own. Jumping switch kick from McGregor and he pops Holloway with a right hand and a front leg hook kick. Good left hook from McGregor and Holloway pops him with an outside leg kick. Nice combination from McGregor and he's mixing it up well. Another outside leg kick from Holloway and that's his best striking method for this fight. McGregor leaps in with a hook and his explosion is very impressive. Big left hook from McGregor and Holloway responds with a left hook of his own. Good left hand from McGregor but Holloway is holding his own. Left jab from Holloway and McGregor jumps in with a switch kick. McGregor lands a combination but Holloway pops him with a right hand of his own. Front kick from McGregor and he steps in with a combination again as Holloway backs towards the fence. Good left from McGregor and Holloway connects with a left hook of his own. Rolling thunder kick attempt from McGregor but it comes up short. 10-9 McGregor

Round two: Heavy straight left for McGregor and a front hook kick grazes for him. Holloway seems pretty flustered and isn't attacking much. Nice leg kick from McGregor and Holloway flashes a straight left. McGregor slaps his head prodding Holloway to engage. Good left hand from McGregor and Holloway responds with a right hand. McGregor unloads a short combination and a side kick and Holloway seems outclassed. Big uppercut scores for McGregor but Holloway throws a left that lands. Good straight left from McGregor adn Holloway's face is starting to swell. Big left hand from McGregor and Holloway flops to his back. McGregor dives into him, landing in half guard but Holloway closes the guard and is protecting himself. McGregor tries to stand up and dive down with some left hands but Holloway defends well and doesn't take any damage. McGregor passes to side control and is trying to mount but Holloway tries to defend. McGregor again moves to side control as the round finishes. 10-9 McGregor

Round three: Holloway opens with a good right hand and McGregor surprisingly shoots in for a takedown, putting Holloway on his back. McGregor passes to side control, nearly mounting, but gets denied. McGregor again tries to mount and he gets it but Holloway rolls and escapes. McGregor scores another takedown and this time he passes to full mount. Holloway tries to buck him but McGregor has a tight hold and isn't letting go. McGregor postures up and drops a few punches. Good left hands from McGregor and he ties up a hand, dropping a few more punches. Big elbow from McGregor and Holloway tries to wrap him up. Holloway rolls over and escapes out the back door and they're back to standing. Big head kick from Holloway and McGregor takes him down again, staying on top until time expires. 10-9 McGregor

Final result: Conor McGregor defeats Max Holloway via unanimous decision (30-27x2, 30-26)

Mike Brown vs. Steven Siler

Round one: Good leg kick from Brown to get things started and Siler responds with one of his own. Brown charges in wildly with wide hooks and Siler clips him with a right uppercut, dropping him! Brown is trying to fight from off his back and Siler crushes him with two huge right hands, briefly putting him out and the ref puts a stop to it. That was crazy!

Final result: Steven Siler defeats Mike Brown via knockout (punches) at 0:50 of round one

Diego Brandao vs. Daniel Pineda

Round one: Pineda wings a right hook and shoots in for a takedown but Brandao denies him. Haymaker comes up short for Pineda and he wings a head kick but it's blocked. Heavy kick for Brandao and a hard kick connects. Brandao throws a flying knee and another one but Pineda staggers to his feet an dwings a right hook. Huge right hand lands for Brandao and the crowd goes nuts. Brandao dives forward with a pair of hooks but they just come up short. Leg kick connects for Pineda and Brandao lands a left hook to the body. Another left hook connects to the body and Brandao blasts Pineda with a right hook. Pineda fires back but eats a huge pair of right hands and drops to his back. Brandao dives into his guard with a right hand but backs off. Brandao shoots in for a takedown and gets it, passing to half guard but Pineda works back to his feet, eating a knee to the body on the way up. Right hand from Brandao. Big right elbow from Pineda and a push kick connects. Pineda thinks about a spinning attack but gives up on it as time expires. 10-9 Brandao

Round two: Good right hand connects for Pineda and Brandao fires back with a back elbow. Pineda backs Brandao up with forward pressure but Brandao shoots in for a takedown and dumps him on his back. Pineda is active from his back and attempts a triangle/armbar/omaplata but Brandao squirms free and they pop back to their feet. Hook to the body forces Pineda to hunch over but he fires a back elbow at Brandao when he charges in. Brandao shoots in for a takedown and gets it again. Pineda works a Kimura from bottom and uses it to sweep Brandao, passing to full mount. Pineda postures up and drops some big elbows from full mount and Brandao doesn't look like he can get out of this position. Pineda has two minutes to work and he postures up dropping big right and left hands. Brandao turns to his side and hip escapes to half guard then full guard. Brandao latches onto Pineda's leg and goes for a heel hook but Pineda stays with him and maintains top control. 10-9 Pineda

Round three: Good right hand from Brandao. Brandao shoots in and again scores a takedown but he'd better be careful or he's going to get swept again. Brandao motions for Pineda to get to his feet and throws a right hook as Pineda pops back up which draws some boos from the crowd. Brandao shoots in for another takedown and gets it, Pineda scrambles to his feet but Brandao has a reverse body lock, giving up on it to return to the stand-up. Brandao shoots in for a takedown but Pineda reverses it and attempts one of his own but Brandao sprawls. Pineda steps forward aggressively but Brandao shoots in and takes him down once more, throwing an elbow from inside Pineda's guard. Pineda pops to his feet, throwing back elbows but Brandao takes him down again. Pineda attempts a Kimura sweep but can't pull it off due to fence positioning. Big superman punch from Pineda but Brandao changes levels and dumps Pineda on his back. Brandao is on top in half guard and the ref stands them up. Pineda sluggishly gets to his feet and thrwos a couple wheel kicks but eats a big right from Brandao. Both men are completely gassed right now. Pineda shoots in for a takedown on Brandao but he can't get it. Nice right hand from Pineda and Brandao throws a right hand and a head kick at the bell. 10-9 Brandao

Final result: Diego Brandao defeats Daniel Pineda via unanimous decision (29-28x3)

Cole Miller vs. Manny Gamburyan

Round one: Strong leg kick from Gamburyan and Miller is trying to utilize his length while circling on the outside. Miller lands a straight right and a jab and Gamburyan tries to respond but he comes up short with the power right. Gamburyan is having some trouble scoring with his punches. Right hand connects for Miller and Gamburyan steps inside with a right hand but it's partially blocked. Good jab from Miller but Gamburyan connects with a left and a right hand to back him off. Stiff left jab from Miller and an uppercut grazes him. Gamburyan shoots in for a takedown and he presses Miller into the fence, lifting him up over his head and slamming him to the canvas. Gamburyan lands inside Miller's full guard. Miller has a body triangle from bottom and Gamburyan lands a nice right elbow. Another good elbow from Gamburyan and Miller wall-walks to his feet. They trade knees before the bell and Miller scores with a pair of elbows right at the horn. Gamburyan is holding the back of the head at the end of the round and seems dazed. 10-9 Miller

Round two: They check on Gamburyan in between rounds and allow him to continue. Big leg kick from Gamburyan and then another that spins Miller around. Gamburyan is still blinking his eyes often like something is wrong. Big leg kik again from Gamburyan and Miller throws a knee but Gamburyan shoots inside looking for a takedown and he puts Miller down along the fence. Miller scores with an elbow to open a cut on the top of Gamburyan's head and he throws a few knees which seems to hurt him. Miller tries to take Gamburyan's back but Gamburyan scrambles free and scores a takedown, slamming Miller into the canvas and landing inside his guard. Good right elbow from Gamburyan and Miller ts trying to use the butterfly guard to create space and get back to his feet. Miller pushes Gamburyan off and pops up but Gamburyan again is looking to take him down along the fence, although Miller is sprawling. Miller throws a couple elbows but Gamburyan takes him down again, dropping a few right hands. Miller kicks him off and Gamburyan lands a big right hook. They trade left hands and Gamburyan scores a nice leg kick as the round comes to a close. 10-9 Gamburyan

Round three: Heavy leg kick from Gamburyan, they trade a jab for a leg kick and Gamburyan just comes up short with a pair of bombs. Right haymaker from Gamburyan barely clips Miller but he's okay. Knee from Miller and Gamburyan backs him off with a left hook and a leg kick. Miller again lands a knee and it looks like it hurt, but Gamburyan shoots in and takes him down again, landing inside Miller's guard. Gamburyan drops some short right hands and a left. Miller is being active off his back with soft strikes, but Gamburyan is immovable from top position, throwing enough strikes to stay on the ground and he briefly looks to pass. Miller tries to get back to his feet but Gamburyan stays right on him and slams him back to the ground again. Gamburyan stays on top of Miller and they trade ground strikes until the fight is over. 10-9 Gamburyan

Final result: Manny Gamburyan defeats Cole Miller via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28x2)

Cody Donovan vs. Ovince St. Preux

Round one: OSP throws a heavy blow but Donovan gets inside and pushes him into the cage looking for a takedown, throwing a knee to the body in the process. Donovan lifts OSP up and takes him down but OSP rolls with him using a whizzer, lands on top inside Donovan's guard and starts dropping BOMBS. Huge left hands from OSP and Donovan is stunned. OSP drops more left hands and Donovan is in deep, deep trouble. Donovan can no longer defend himself and the ref puts a stop to it. Wow!

Final result: Ovince St. Preux defeats Cody Donovan via knockout (punches) at 2:07 of round one

Ramsey Nijem vs. James Vick

Round one: Nijem opens with a leg kick and awkwardly dives in for a takedown but Vick stuffs him with a sprawl early. Nijem stays with it and puts Vick on his back, landing on top in half guard but Vick wall-walks back to his feet. Nijem has his head still in Vick's chest and Vick snakes his arm underneath Nijem's neck and he's got a very good grip on a guillotine choke! Nijem has absolutely nowhere to go and he's rolled over onto his back and he taps! Wow!

Final result: James Vick defeats Ramsey Nijem via submission (guillotine) at 0:58 of round one
