Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has tied a ribbon around The Ultimate Fighter (TUF): "Brazil" 2, which means we have a pair of coaches -- along with two welterweight finalists -- set to hook 'em up TONIGHT (Sat., June 8, 2013) at UFC on FUEL TV 10 event on from Ginasio Paulo Sarasate in Fortaleza, Ceara, Brazil.
"Nogueira vs. Werdum" will feature a heavyweight rematch between Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Fabricio Werdum, who served as this season's TUF coaches in what promises to be an exciting rematch from their first encounter as part of the PRIDE Open Weight Grand Prix back in 2006.
Also scheduled for this weekend's extravaganza is a light heavyweight slugfest between Brazilian bombers Thiago Silva and Rafael Cavalcante, as well as a middleweight contest pitting Daniel Sarafian vs. Eddie Mendez. Top welterweight standout Erick Silva also returns to action against Jason High.

UFC ON FUEL TV 10 MAIN CARD PLAY-BY-PLAY:
265 lbs.: Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Fabricio Werdum
Round 1: Heavy inside leg kick from Werdum and then another. One more leg kick from Nogueira and he closes the distance, clinching and taking Nogueira down. Werdum almost mounts but Nogueira is squirrely on the canvas and Werdum settles for top position in half guard. Werdum drops some right hands and Nogueira goes to the deep half, attempting to sweep Werdum but he eats some hammer fists for his measure. Big knee from Werdum but Nogueira pops to his feet. Nice jabs from Werdum and another heavy inside leg kick. Nogueira clinches and he's got inside position along the fence. Werdum circles to safety and attacks with another leg kick on the outside. Nogueira attacks with a short combination and scores up the middle with an uppercut as they clinch again. Werdum has the Thai plum and he lands a knee up the middle. He grabs a single leg but gives up on it. Jab from Werdum and Nogueira steps inside with an elbow. Nogueira is thinking about a takedown but he eats some pitter patter rights hands for his effort. Both men land right hands at the horn. 10-9 Werdum
Round 2: Outside leg kick and then an inside leg kick from Werdum to get things started. Werdum pops a left jab and slams Nogueira with huge leg kicks and a big right hand. Nogueira presses forward with a combination before clinching along the fence, attacking with dirty boxing on the inside. Werdum attacks with a single leg and Nogueira responds with a guillotine attempt, nearly scoring a sweep but Werdum posts and stays on top. Werdum is on top in side control now but Nogueira retains half guard. Werdum passes again and Nogueira turns but Werdum nearly has his back. Werdum attacks witha belly down armbar and the fight is over! I didn't see Nogueira tap but the ref put a stop to it. Very impressive finish for Werdum!
Final result: Fabricio Werdum defeats Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira via verbal submission (armbar) at 2:41 of round two

170 lbs.: Leonardo Santos vs. William Macario
Round 1: Macario opens with a leg kick and he's landing with power early. Jab from Santos and they clinch. Trip attempt from Macario surprisingly and Santos responds with a big right hand but Macario showcases his power with a big combination. Macario with a takedown but he doesn't stay in Santos' guard for long. Again, he jumps into the BJJ world champion's guard, looking to land ground and pound. Good strikes from top position by Macario and he's got Santos on the defensive but Santos escapes to his feet with just over a minute left in the round. Good snapping leg kick by Santos once they're standing but Macario responds with a knee up the gut. Throw attempt from Santos but Macario has half of his back and he's sloppily working for a banana split submission but he can't get a good grip and they finish the round on the canvas. 10-9 Macario
Round 2: Leg kick from Macario to get things started and Santos responds with a takedown attempt but he's stuffed. Both men look tired, especially Macario and Santos scores with a right hand. They clinch and Santos scores up the middle with a knee, then some short punches. Macario attempts a takedown and gets it, taking top position but he can't do anything with it this time around. Santos gets to his feet and goes for a takedown of his own and he has it but Macario blatantly grabs the fence to prevent it and winds up on top. The ref stands them up and warns Macario. Macario looks gassed as all hell and Santos presses forward with some punches, landing them heavily. Trip takedown from Santos and he immediately passes to full mount. Macario is exhausted and is offering little to no resistance. Now Santos locks in an arm triangle but he doesn't have it cinched underneath Macario's chin. He squeezes tight and Macario taps anyways.
Final result: Leonardo Santos defeats William Macario via submission (arm triangle) at 4:43 of round two

205 lbs.: Rafael Cavalcante vs. Thiago Silva
Round 1: Silva wings a body kick and Feijao responds with a right hand that connects. Another body kick from Silva and Feijao steps forward with a huge right hand and a knee but they come up short. Good right hand from Feijao and he's got Silva backing up briefly. This time Feijao drops the right hand to the body and he wings another to the head. Silva can't find his range early and Feijao again tags him with a right. Feijao is just winging right hands, but Silva is keeping his defense high and blocking most of it. Feijao is throwing his right hand so hard it's knocking him off balance and Silva responds with a right of his own. He's got to stay composed here. Overhand right from Feijao is partially blocked and Silva goes on the offensive. Spinning elbow connects for Feijao but Silva eats it and fires back. Silva fires off a body kick and Feijao responds but he's clearly lost a step. Heavy pair of leg kicks from Silva and he's taunting Feijao now. Silva swarms Feijao and blasts him with big shots. Feijao gets caught and Silva pummels him with right hands on the ground and the ref stops it. Huge performance by Silva. You could tell the tide was turning by the mid-point of the first round.
Final result: Thiago Silva defeats Rafael Cavalcante via knockout (punches) at 4:29 of round one

170 lbs.: Jason High vs. Erick Silva
Round 1: Body kick from High and Silva catches it, winging a right hand and he takes control of High. Silva attacks by jumping on High's back but High almost shakes him off. Silva is barely hanging on but he puts an inverted triangle on High and extends an arm while High is standing on two legs hunched over. High's arm is fully extended and he taps!
Final result: Erick Silva defeats Jason High via submission (armbar/triangle) at 1:11 of round one

185 lbs.: Eddie Mendez vs. Daniel Sarafian
Round 1: Both men feeling each other out early but Sarafian steps forward and wings a huge combination. Mendez is trying to counter and he clinches with Sarafian to avoid more punishment. Sarafian scores an inside trip and he's on top in half guard, dropping short right hands to the body. Sarafian has an arm trapped and he passes to full mount, squeezing tightly with an arm triangle choke. Mendez tries to hang on but Sarafian has it too tight and he's forced to tap out.
Final result: Daniel Sarafian defeats Eddie Mendez via submission (arm triangle) at 2:20 of round one

145 lbs.: Rony Jason vs. Mike Wilkinson
Round 1: Wilkinson ignores Jason's glove touch attempt, staying on the outside and circling side to side. Jason wings a left hook but Wilkinson shoots in for a takedown and easily gets it, taking top position inside his guard. Jason throws his legs up and he's working for a triangle. He locks it in and it's tight! Jason fires off huge elbows from bottom and Wilkinson is out cold!
Final result: Rony Jason defeats Mike Wilkinson via technical submission (triangle) at 1:24 of round one

UFC ON FUEL TV 10 FACEBOOK PRELIMS PLAY-BY-PLAY:
145 lbs.: Raphael Assuncao vs. Vaughan Lee
Round 1: Assuncao opens with some kicks to keep Lee at bay and he lands a high kick along the fence. Nice left hand from Assuncao backs Lee up along the fence. Assuncao misses with a takedown attempt but scores with a big left hand as they reset in the cage center. Assuncao is utilizing a large assortment of feints and he wings a flying knee but it fails to land. Lee fires back with some left hands and a head kick hits nothing but air. Lee lunges forward but Assuncao grabs a body lock and briefly takes him down. Lee pops back up quickly and they go back to striking. Nice outside leg kick from Lee and Assuncao attacks with a combination before changing levels, grabbing a body lock and slamming Lee to the ground. Assuncao is on top in half guard now and he passes to side control. Lee tries to retain guard but Assuncao mounts him. Lee scrambles along the fence and escapes the perilous position but Assuncao easily is in control after the first five minutes. 10-9 Assuncao
Round 2: Head kick from Lee clips Assuncao and he presses forward, working for a takedown along the fence. Assuncao is bleeding pretty heavily either out of his eye or nose and he gets the takedown, landing almost directly into mount. Assuncao is hunting for an arm and he rolls over, belly down. He has the spiderweb and he extends Lee's arm, forcing the tap!
Final result: Raphael Assuncao defeats Vaughan Lee via submission (armbar) at 1:51 of round two

145 lbs.: Felipe Arantes vs. Godofredo Castro
Round 1: Pepey has control of the center early and he presses forward with a couple hooks, immediately changing levels and looking for a takedown. Arantes stuffs him along the fence but Pepey is relenteless. He drags Arantes to the ground but Arantes reverses and lands inside Pepey's closed guard. Good left hands from Arantes and a right elbow. Pepey tries to throw elbows from bottom but Arantes blasts him with right elbows and some right hands. Pepey grabs a Kimura and sweeps Arantes into full mount as the crowd goes nuts. Pepey postures up but Arantes sweeps him, landing inside his guard and he drops some huge right hands. Massive right elbows from Arantes and Pepey is in huge trouble. Pepey isn't fighting back and the ref steps in and puts a stop to it. Those elbows were NASTY.
Final result: Felipe Arantes defeats Godofredo Castro via TKO (elbows) at 3:32 of round one

170 lbs.: Ildemar Alcantara vs. Leandro Silva
Round 1: Alcantara is so much bigger than Silva here. He pressures Silva into the fence, landing a heavy knee. Silva flops to his back but Alcantara lets him back up and immediately goes back to pressuring him with punches on the feet. Alcantara slips throwing a head kick and Silva dives on top of him into his guard. Alcantara defends himself, popping back to his feet and Silva attacks with a takedown attempt but Alcantara denies him. Silva continues to try for a takedown but Alcantara gets one of his own and now he's on top. Silva looks to attack Alcantara's leg from bottom but can't get a good grip on anything. Alcantara backs off and lets Silva back up and Silva misses with a spinning hook kick. Silva has a takedown stuffed at the end of the round. 10-9 Alcantara
Round 2: Good kicks from Silva on the outside to get things started. Alcantara responds with a kick of his own, but is backed off by a combination from Silva. Silva, despite being smaller, is getting the better of Alcantara here, who a step slow. Nice knee from Alcantara along the fence. Silva scores with a leg kick and Alcantara responds with a combination but it comes up short. Silva shoots in with a takedown attempt but Alcantara stuffs it nicely. Heavy leg kick from Alcantara and both men are starting at each other now, not engaging and the crowd lets them have it. Just 90 seconds left and neither man has really taken the initiative yet. Spinning heel kick from Alcantara grazes Silva but doesn't connect flush. Silva responds with some push kicks and leg kicks. Spinning kick from Silva whiffs and he falls to his back at the end of the round. 10-9 Alcantara
Round 3: Silva needs to make something happen here. He throws a few low kicks but that's not going to cut it. Silva shoots in from the outside but Alcantara easily backs away from the takedown attempt. They clinch near the fence and Alcantara grabs double underhooks, utilizing a body lock to take Silva down. Silva has butterfly guard and Alcantara briefly backs off but he drops in with a big right hand. Alcanta drops some nice right hands and Silva throws an upkick at the grounded opponent. They pause briefly and Silva has lessthan a minute to make something happen. Silva presses forward with a few right hands but Alcantara just changes levels and takes him down again. They get back to their feet and trade occasional strikes but nothing significant lands. The crowd boos them heavily as time expires. 10-9 Alcantara
Final result: Ildemar Alcantara defeats Leandro Silva via unanimous decision (30-27 x3)

145 lbs.: Rodrigo Damm vs. Mizuto Hirota
Round 1: Both men walk to the center of the Octagon and begin to trade hooks and kicks. Damm lands a nice shot that stings Hirota, who shakes off the cob webs and circles. Hirota lands a nice shot of his own moments later, sending Damm backpedaling into the cage. He avoids major trouble and drills Hirota with a shot that plants him on his butt. Damm follows him to the canvas and the two struggle for position along the cage. They eventually work their way back to the center of the ring and Damm lands a nice right hand ... and then another moments later. Hirota seems just fine, but isn't responding with strikes like he was earlier. Damm lands a kick to the gut at the buzzer.
Round 2: Damm picks up right where he left off, tagging Hirota with the straight right hand. Hirota lands a one-two combination that backs up Damm, but does no significant damage. Hirota with a leg kick and then follows it with a right hand. Damm misses witha looping left and then goes for a single-leg takedown, but Hirota steps out. Hirota lands a hard left jab and pumps it in mid-air as Damm fires back with an overhand right. Hirota charges in with a right hand, but it has little effect. The two shadow box until the the buzzer sounds.
Round 3: Hirota comes out with a big right hand that misses, while Damm connects with a one-two combination. Hirota lands a punch to the belly and fakes a takedown, compelling Damm to try one of his own unsuccessfully. Damm plants a nice right hand on the chin of Hirota, who continues to charge forward. Hirota lands a few nice shots to the face and body that make Damm back up. Damm lands two kicks, one to the leg and a grazing one to the head. Hirota with a straight right hand and Damm responds with an inside-leg kick. Damm with a big left hook, but again, Hirota is unfazed. Damm finally scores a takedown and in the scramble he lands an unbelievable suplex. Hirota pops back to his feet almost immediately and the pair once again head back to the center of the cage and mix it up until the buzzer blares to signal the end of the match. Fun round.
Final result: Damm defeats Hirota via split decision (29-28 x2, 28-29)

185 lbs.: Caio Magalhaes vs. Karlos Vemola
Round 1: Magalhaes shoots in right away but Vemola stuffs him. Vemola counters with a takedown attempt of his own but Magalhaes defends with a guillotine attempt, which Vemola escapes by slamming him to the canvas. Big ground and pound from Vemola and Magalhaes responds with an armbar attempt. Vemola just powers free and goes right back to dropping heavy shots on the ground. He's taking over here with heavy strikes, keeping a high pace and throwing a solid volume of shots. Finally, Magalhaes gets to his feet, but he surrenders the position by attacking with a guillotine but he can't lock it in. Vemola shoots in for another takedown and is countered with (you guessed it) another guillotine attempt but he slams his way free at the end of the round. 10-9 Vemola.
Round 2: Huge right hand from Magalhaes and both men posture in the clinch but Magalhaes secures a takedown with a body lock. Magalhaes passes to half guard, dropping punches and then he advances to side control. More strikes from Magalhaes and he's in control here. Vemola tries to roll to safety but Magalhaes is staying on him strong here. Vemola briefly escapes to his feet only to be taken down again. Magalhaes takes Vemola's back this time and sinks in a rear naked choke. It's tight and Vemola taps!
Final result: Magalhaes defeats Vemola via submission (rear-naked choke) in round two

185 lbs.: Antonio Braga Neto vs. Anthony Smith
Round 1: Both come out firing early, with Smith landing a knee to the midsection and Braga Neto doing the same. Braga Neto uncorks a punishing leg kick and follows it up with a takedown. The jiu-jitsu ace easily takes Smith's back. Smith defends well, reversing position and landing in a sitting position, but Braga Neto grabs his leg and angles for a knee bar. He's got it! Smith, in sheer agony, is forced to tap.
Final result: Braga Neto defeats Smith via submission (kneebar) in round 1
