Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight titleholder Anderson Silva is returning to the silver screen for "TAPPED," an upcoming Hollywood motion picture about "a disgruntled teenager with a troubled past who enters an MMA tournament to face the man who killed his parents."
Who needs the police when you have mixed martial arts (MMA)?
Joining the Brazilian will be fellow UFC fighters Lyoto Machida, Krzysztof Soszynski and Sam Stout, along with action movie icons Michael Biehn (Terminator, Aliens) and Martin Kove (Karate Kid, Rambo). TAPPED comes courtesy of Hackybox Pictures and Oriahsphere Entertainment and you can get all the movie exclusives and updates on their Facebook and Twitter accounts here and here.
TAPPED is expected to be released later this year.
Meanwhile, Silva has his work cut out for him at the upcoming UFC 162 pay-per-view (PPV) event on July 6, 2013 from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. That's where he'll defend his 185-pound title against division number one contender Chris Weidman (details here).
