"He disrespected [Antonio] Nogueira, Wanderlei [Silva]. About me, he still said nothing. But disrespecting Wanderlei is enough. He is a controversial guy that really likes to talk a lot, but I'm cool. Sonnen will surely want to say something to me, but it does not affect me at all."
-- Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight contender Mauricio Rua is cool as a cucumber just under two months away from his main event showdown with Chael Sonnen at the debut UFC on FOX Sports 1 event. "Shogun" tells Brazilian news outlet TATAME that no matter what kind of commotion Sonnen tries to stir up in the weeks leading up to the bout, he will not allow it to get under his skin. Rua does, though, have a bit of a beef with Sonnen's comments made towards his Brazilian countrymen Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Wanderlei Silva, and will use that as motivation to win the Aug. 17, 2013, fight in Boston, Massachusetts. While Sonnen has been respectful towards the former 205-pound champion thus far, history has shown that it takes just one interview to change all that for good.
