Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Canelo Alvarez staredown pic for championship boxing match on Sept. 14 in Las Vegas

Floyd Mayweather Jr. will put his WBA Super Light Middleweight (154 pounds) title, along with his top pound-for-pound fighter status, on the line when he collides with WBA and WBC Light Middleweight Champion, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, in a high-profile boxing match scheduled to take place at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Sept. 14, 2013.

That's less than three months away.

But "Money" (44-0) has a busy schedule to keep. The undefeated pugilist, who abandoned his post at HBO for a more lucrative deal with the Showtime (details here), finally made his pay-per-view (PPV) debut for the cable television network, a 12-round unanimous decision win over Robert Guerrero last month in "Sin City."

Just another day at the office for fabulous Floyd.

Alvarez, meanwhile, most recently topped Austin Trout on the judges' scorecards to unify the 154-pound belts and establish himself as one of the best in the business. The young Mexican phenom, also undefeated, has 30 knockouts in 42 wins.

Upsets happen all the time in boxing. Just ask "Pac Man."
