Manitoba Combative Sports Commission today issued its list of medical suspensions for UFC 161: "Evans vs. Henderson," which took place on Sat., June 15, 2013, from MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

It wasn't an abnormally brutal night of mixed martial arts (MMA) competition. Regardless, several Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighters on the pay-per-view (PPV) main card, as well as the "Prelims" under card on FX and Facebook.com, sustained damage and were flagged for follow up visits with their doctors.

Chief among them is Rashad Evans, who was slapped with an "indefinite" suspension after going toe-to-toe with the heavy-handed Dan Henderson for 15 minutes, earning a tight split decision victory (see FightMetric.com report here) and keeping his Light Heavyweight contender hopes alive.

"Hendo" can't say the same.

Ryan Jimmo will join "Suga" on the sidelines "indefinitely" after his hard-fought unanimous decision over Igor Pokrajac, as well as Sam Stout after his "Fight of the Night"-winning loss courtesy of the still-partying James Krause.

That's not all.

Here is the complete list of UFC 161 injuries and their medical instructions (via MMAWeekly.com):

Rashad Evans: Suspended indefinitely
Dan Henderson: Suspended 14 days
Stipe Miocic: Suspended 14 days
Roy Nelson: Suspended 14 days
Ryan Jimmo: Suspended indefinitely
Igor Pokrajac: Suspended 14 days
Alexis Davis: Suspended 14 days
Rosi Sexton: Suspended 14 days
Pat Barry: Suspended indefinitely
Shawn Jordan: Suspended 14 days
Jake Shields: Suspended 14 days
Tyron Woodley: Suspended 14 days
James Kruse: Suspended indefinitely
Sam Stout: Suspended indefinitely
Sean Pierson: Suspended 14 days
Kenny Robertson: Suspended 14 days
Roland Delorme: Suspended 14 days
Edwin Figueroa: Suspended indefinitely
Mitch Clarke: Suspended 14 days
John Maguire: Suspended 14 days
Yves Jabouin: Suspended 14 days
Dustin Pague: Suspended indefinitely

Again, just a quick reminder: Fighters often return to action much quicker once doctors give them the green light. The lengthy suspensions are just a precaution in most cases.
