Prior to the UFC 161: "Evans vs. Henderson" weigh ins on Friday (June 14, 2013), Ultimate Fighting Championship(UFC) lightweight No. 1 contender T.J. Grant hosted a question and answer session with mixed martial arts (MMA) fans at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
Grant (21-5) has been on an incredible run as of late, winning five consecutive fights since dropping to 155 pounds from the Welterweight division in 2011. The Canadian most recently defeated former title challenger Gray Maynard to earn a crack at Benson Henderson's belt at UFC 164 on Aug. 31, 2013.
In the 40-plus minute Q&A, Grant discussed how he has improved so much since coming down a weight class, what has changed for him in the last couple of years, his signature win over Maynard and how he will dethrone Henderson later this summer.
The 29-year-old also touched on a number of other subjects from his thoughts on November's Georges St. Pierre vs. Johny Hendricks championship fight, testosterone-replacement therapy (TRT), Anthony Pettis' injury and much, much more.
