Paul Daley is back in business.
The outspoken mixed martial arts (MMA) star was blasting Bellator earlier this month for holding him hostage overseas. According to "Semtex," his contract would not allow him to make appearances for other promoters who didn't first pay Viacom a "booking fee" to acquire his services.
Said fee appears to have been paid.
That means Daley now has the green light to face off against Polish powerhouse Lukasz Chlewicki in the main event of Cage Warriors 57, which takes place at Liverpool's Echo Arena on Sat., July 20, 2013.
From the former UFC and Strikeforce welterweight contender:
"I'm excited to be fighting back in the UK again and back at Cage Warriors, which is Europe's premier show. I pretty much started my career here and it's great to see how the promotion has grown. I'm happy to be part of it and I can't wait to entertain all my supporters."
Daley (32-12) -- who won his Bellator debut with a first-round technical knockout finish over Rudy Bears last July -- is expected to return to the Spike TV airwaves after he gets his lingering visa issues straightened out.
Since being stuck across the pond, the heavy-handed Brit has managed to rack up consecutive knockout wins over Patrick Vallee in Ireland and Rodrigo Ribeiro in Dubai. Chlewicki (10-2), meanwhile, hasn't lost since being submitted by Demian Maia back in 2005.
