Former Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion Miesha Tate will lock horns with former division number one contender Liz Carmouche at the upcoming UFC on FOX 8 event, which is scheduled to take place at the KeyArena in Seattle, Wash., on July 27, 2013.
"Cupcake" expects fireworks.
"Liz is an incredible fighter, she's got a hell of a spirit. I really think we're gonna light that place up."
Tate (13-4) suffered a third round technical knockout loss to Cat Zingano in The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 17 Finale last month in Las Vegas, Nevada (watch it here). After winning six in a row, Tate is now 1-2 over her last three, also coming up short against Ronda Rousey last year in Columbus, Ohio.
Time to get back on the horse and try again.
"Rowdy" polished off Carmouche at UFC 157 earlier this year in Anaheim, California, snapping a two-fight winning streak for the "Girl-Rilla" compiled under the Invicta FC banner. The leader of the "Lizbos" is known for her savage fighting style and puts on a show, even in defeat.

UFC on FOX 8 will feature a pair of compelling 170-pound bouts between Rory MacDonald vs. Jake Ellenberger and Robbie Lawler vs. Tarec Saffiedine. The main event, which is will showcase flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson vs. John Moraga, was recently made official for "The Emerald City."
