Invicta FC 6: Marloes Coenen thinks 'more feminine' Cris Cyborg is 'off the stuff' ahead of July 13 rematch

Former Strikeforce rivals Cris Cyborg and Marloes Coenen will hook 'em up for a second time when they meet later this summer at Invicta FC 6. Will "Rumina" stand a better chance against "Cyborg" now that the Brazilian is "off the stuff?"

Marloes Coenen will have a chance to prove it was performance enhancing drugs -- not skill -- that was the deciding factor against Cristiane Justino when they first did the dance back in Strikeforce. Their championship rematch has now been set for Invicta FC 6, scheduled for July 13, 2013 at the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City, Missouri.

"Cyborg" defeated "Rumina" by way of technical knockout just over three years ago in Miami.

In fact, the only thing able to stop Justino under the Strikeforce banner was a positive drug test, which came following a first-round massacre against Hiroko Yamanaka in late 2011 (details here). Coenen tells BJPenn.com how she's noticed a difference in the Brazilian since her return to mixed martial arts (MMA).

One she hopes to exploit in their rematch.

"In the first round of our last fight she was breathing really heavy, I still can remember that, thinking to myself 'Okay this is just the first round and she is already breathing like that.' The second thing is you know the news where she got caught with whatever she used. She looks more feminine now, I also think her strength is less and last time she really out-powered me, so I think this time it will be a very interesting fight. I already thought she was on something when I was fighting her for the first time. But then I was like 'Ah, whatever, I don't care,' you know. But when I was actually in the cage, I felt her power and was like 'Oh my god I never been hit this hard in my whole life.' This time I don't think she's on the stuff anymore."

Coenen (21-5) shed some skin following her loss to the Brazilian bomber, dropping to bantamweight and submitting Sarah Kaufman to claim the Strikeforce 135-pound title. She would go on to defend her strap against Liz Carmouche, but coughed it up to Miesha Tate in July 2011.

Since being iced by "Cupcake," the Golden Girl of Team Golden Glory is 2-0 with wins over Romy Ruyssen and Fiona Muxlow, who not coincidentally, was just turned inside out by Justino at Invicta FC 5 last month in Kansas City (re-watch it here).
