Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight Reza Madadi is in hot water with the local authorities following his arrest last Friday (May 24, 2013) in Sweden, for what was allegedly a "smash and grab" job at a handbag boutique in Bottega Veneta.

"Mad Dog" (13-3) is fresh off a submission win over Michael Johnson at the UFC on FUEL TV 9 event in Stockholm. The 32-year-old grappler was quickly paired off against Michael Chiesa for UFC on FOX 8 in July; however, his visa issues forced him to withdraw from the bout.

Madadi, who last year was hailed as a hero for saving a drowning toddler, is expected to appear in court no later than June 10 to answer for his charges, according to MMAnytt.se. Stay tuned to MMAmania.com for more details on this story as they develop.
