UFC 160 results: Mark Hunt says he broke his toe in the first round against Junior dos Santos

Mark Hunt's jaw isn't the only thing hurting after suffering a knock out loss to Junior dos Santos at UFC 160: "Velasquez vs. Bigfoot 2" on Saturday night (May 25, 2013).

"The Super Samoan" also claims to have broken his toe in the first round of the co-main event match up, which he says severely limited his movement for the rest of the contest until he was knocked out by an incredible spinning wheel kick from dos Santos in the third round (watch highlights here).

"Thanks for the support apologies about the result junior was to slick for me," Hunt wrote in his official Facebook fan page following the event. "Got a broken toe first round and had no movement, but like i said before if i am going out i am out on my back thanks again 1luv."

From watching the fight, one would have a hard time telling there was anything wrong with Hunt. The 39-year-old fought with the same intensity and relentlessness he's shown in a majority of his UFC appearances and just happened to be caught with a technique absolutely no one saw coming.

UFC President Dana White confirmed at the event's post-fight press conference (watch it here) that Hunt had been transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation following the fight, but made no mention of the injured toe.

It is unknown at this time how long the broken toe will keep Hunt out of action; however, injuries of that nature can take anywhere from two to eight weeks to heal.
