UFC 160 results: Glover Teixeira submits James Te Huna in one round

It took only one round for Glover Teixeira to continue his long winning streak, as he submitted James Te Huna with a guillotine choke at UFC 160: "Velasquez vs. Bigfoot 2" tonight (May 25, 2013) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Glover Teixeira's rise through the ranks of the light heavyweight division was supposed to continue tonight (Sat., May 25, 2013) on the main card of the UFC 160: "Velasquez vs. Bigfoot 2" pay-per-view (PPV) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He was supposed to do so against James Te Huna, a dangerous striker with power and ability but an unheralded late replacement opponent for Ryan Bader.

That's exactly what happened.

Te Huna opened by pushing forward with hard punches and trying to sell out to get the knockout. Really, he was fighting like he knew the longer he was in the cage with Glover, the lower his chances of winning the fight.

Sure enough, Teixeira got his hands on him, locked in a tight guillotine, and tapped Te Huna within the very first round. It was yet another impressive performance for the Brazilian, who has now won 19 fights in a row.

Almost time for a title shot?
