Cris Cyborg vs. Marloes Coenen 2 booked for Invicta FC 6

Once more, with feeling!

Tracy Lee/Combat Lifestyle

Maybe the change of scenery will do Marloes Coenen some good.

Just over three years ago, "Rumina" went toe-to-toe with Cristiane Santos Justino at Strikeforce: "Miami," losing by way of third-round technical knockout (TKO). As luck would have it, "Cyborg" followed her to the Invicta FC promotion and they'll hook 'em up for a second time this summer.

And, once again, the 145-pound title will be on the line.

Coenen (21-5) shed some skin following her loss to the Brazilian bomber, dropping to bantamweight and submitting Sarah Kaufman to claim the Strikeforce 135-pound title. She would go on to defend her strap against Liz Carmouche, but coughed it up to Miesha Tate in July 2011.

Since being iced by "Cupcake," the Golden Girl of Team Golden Glory is 2-0 with wins over Romy Ruyssen and Fiona Muxlow, who not coincidentally, was just turned inside out by Justino at Invicta FC 5 earlier this month in Kansas City (re-watch it here).

"Cyborg" has returned.

It was a long and rocky road back into the cage for the embattled Brazilian, who was popped for performance enhancing drugs in the wake of her attempted murder on Hiroko Yamanaka. The win cost her the Strikeforce strap and she's since been forced to endure a public and messy Twitter war opposite UFC queenpin Ronda Rousey.

That appears to be water under the bridge, at least for now.

Invicta FC 6 is expected to take place this summer; however, a date and location has yet to be determined. As always, keep it locked into MMAmania.com and we'll bring you all the relevant details as soon as they become available.
