Video: UFC 159 preview show with Ariel Helwani and Mike Chiappetta

With UFC 159 just hours away, Ariel Helwani and Mike Chiappetta of MMAFighting.com preview the major bouts and storylines going into the event, which is set to take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship's (UFC) fourth pay-per-view (PPV) offering of the year goes down tonight (April 27, 2013) with UFC 159: "Jones vs. Sonnen," live from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

The event is headlined by a light heavyweight championship affair between reigning 205-pound king Jon Jones and opposing coach from The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) reality show, Chael Sonnen.

Jones (17-1) last fought at UFC 152 in Sept. 2012 where he defeated Vitor Belfort via fourth-round submission. The victory marked Jones' fourth successful title defense and the 25-year-old only needs one more to tie UFC Hall-of-Fame inductee Tito Ortiz for the record.

Although Jones is a very young fighter in his own right, he carries a wealth of experience against high-level opponents and he currently holds the record for most 205-pound submission victories in UFC history with five.

Sonnen (28-12-1) will get an opportunity to fight for the UFC light heavyweight championship without having a single fight at 205-pounds in over six-years. The 35-year-old last fought at UC 148 in July 2012 where he lost to middleweight champ Anderson Silva for the second time.

After the defeat, Sonnen decided a change in weight class was in order and decided to move to the light heavyweight division where he was granted an immediate title shot at "Bones."

Also scheduled for the card is a 185-pound grudge match of Michael Bisping vs. Alan Belcher, a heavyweight contest of Roy Nelson vs. Cheick Kongo and a lightweight meeting between Jim Miller and Pat Healy.

With UFC 159 just around the corner and anticipated at an all-time high, watch as Ariel Helwani and Mike Chiappetta of MMA Fighting break down and preview all the major bouts for the event.

MMAmania.com will provide LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the UFC 159 main card action on fight night (Sat., April 27, 2013), which is slated to begin promptly at 10 p.m. ET on PPV. The latest fight-by-fight updates of the live action will begin to flow earlier than that around 6 p.m. ET with the "Prelims" bouts on Facebook and FX Channel.
