UFC Quick Quote: Anderson Silva 'sucks' and is in no way better than Chael Sonnen

Chael Sonnen is at it again, this time telling ESPN that UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva "sucks" and that the Brazilian is not "the better fighter" between them, even though "The Spider" holds a submission and a (technical) knockout victory over Sonnen.

Mark J. Rebilas-US PRESSWIRE

"Anderson sucks, and Anderson's won a whole bunch of fights. I don't want to disparage Anderson, I accept the outcome of the duel. But he didn't want to do that fight. He tried to get out of the fight, he tried to get disqualified at the weigh-in, he tried to get disqualified during the fight, he tried all of that just to get out of it. With all that said he still found a way to win. I admire that, I respect that in him, but at the end of the day I whipped his ass for 30 minutes. He got the jump on me for less than 30 seconds. There's no way you can watch us fight and come out saying Anderson's the better fighter. You just can't do that. I hear people say I'm an 11/1 underdog against Jon Jones, and I may well be. But those same people think Anderson can beat him? I stomped Anderson Silva, we're not even close. So it's kind of a little bit of a head-scratcher."

-- Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight No. 1 contender Chael Sonnen takes a shot at longtime rival and current middleweight kingpin Anderson Silva while explaining to ESPN that there's a flaw in logic for people counting him out of the UFC 159 main event against Jon Jones. Silva and Jones are the No. 1 and No. 2 ranked pound-for-pound fighters in the world according to the official UFC rankings, and Sonnen points to his performances against "The Spider" as a reason his chances are higher than what the public believes for his fight against "Bones" tonight (April 27, 2013) at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The 36-year-old can't help but to verbally assault Silva even when discussing an irrelevant subject, and even with two clear-cut victories to the Brazilian on his record, Sonnen still feels Silva "sucks" and firmly believes he is "the better man" between the two. The more pertinent question is though, is Sonnen better than Jones?
