Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is gearing up for this Saturday night's (April 27, 2013) "Jones vs. Sonnen" pay-per-view-event at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, by holding several fan-friendly festivities throughout the region.
That includes yesterday's "Herald Square takeover" in the heart of New York City.
Leading the charge was UFC President Dana White, who was rather loose-lipped on an assortment of topics, including middleweight champion Anderson Silva's new 10-fight contract, Georges St. Pierre's rumored fight against Johny Hendricks, the return of "Meathead" Mitrione in Seattle and so much more.
He even had a chance to reminisce on his boxing bout against Tito Ortiz that (thankfully) never materialized.
UFC 159 will feature light heavyweight champion Jon Jones putting his 205-pound title on the line against former middleweight contender Chael Sonnen. In the co-main event, British bad boy Michael Bisping tangles with Biloxi banger Alan Belcher.
