It's official.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson will put his 125-pound title on the line against John Moraga in the main event of UFC on FOX 8, which goes down at KeyArena in Seattle, Washington, on July 27, 2013.
I guess that bum labrum is all patched up and ready to go.
Johnson (17-2) is fresh off a close unanimous decision victory over John Dodson at the UFC on FOX 6 event earlier this year in Chicago. "Mighty Mouse" is about as active as they come, competing for the fifth time in just 14 months and hasn't been defeated since dropping from bantamweight in late 2011.
And the competition isn't getting any easier.
Moraga (13-1) may not be a household name, but he's certainly known by his peers, terrorizing the 125-pound ranks and finishing off his first two opponents inside the Octagon. In fact, the Arizonian hasn't tasted defeat since 2010, when he lost a unanimous decision to the aforementioned Dodson.
MMA math ... you know you can't help yourself.
In addition to the championship main event, UFC on FOX 8 will feature a pair of compelling 170-pound bouts between Rory MacDonald vs. Jake Ellenberger and Robbie Lawler vs. Tarec Saffiedine.
