Video: Daniel Comier and Frank Mir get heated at UFC on FOX 7 weigh-ins

As the fight gets closer, the storyline between Daniel Cormier and Frank Mir only gets more intriguing.

The two heavyweight competitors are scheduled to slug it out in the co-main event of UFC on FOX 7: "Henderson vs. Melendez" tonight (April 20, 2013) at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif., and as the clock ticks down to fight night, the respect level has apparently gone out the window.

At Thursday's (April 18, 2013) UFC on FOX 7 media day, Cormier told Mir he's in "big, big trouble" when they faced off in an intense staredown. That tension carried over to Friday's (April 19, 2013) weigh-in festivities (see the staredowns here) and when the big men were required to participate in a two-on-one interview with FUEL TV correspondent Ariel Helwani on the UFC on FOX 7 weigh-in show, the entire situation came to a head in the form of a heated verbal exchange.

Here's how it all went down (transcription via Bloody Elbow):

Daniel Cormier: It's huge. I'm having to stand here with my hands in my pockets because I just want to grab Frank. I really just want to grab him.

Ariel Helwani: Thankfully I'm here [laughs].

Daniel Cormier: Well, you can't really do anything to stop us.

Ariel Helwani: How will it end on Saturday?

Daniel Cormier: Daniel Cormier, still undefeated, man.

Frank Mir: I disagree greatly, but the advantage I have is that I can go out there and show him, so on Saturday, when he grabs me, I'll be taking one of his arms home.

Daniel Cormier: That's not going to happen Frank. You're not just going to break my arm. What am I gonna do? Give it to you? Seriously, you say that all the time, 'Oh I'm just gonna break his arm.' Frank, you can't just break my arm.

Frank Mir: Well, if you don't tap fast enough...

Daniel Cormier: Enough talking Frank, we're gonna get this shit over with. We're done.

Nothing came close to getting physical between "DC" and the former UFC heavyweight champion; however, there was no reason too, as they will get the chance to take out their frustrations in just a few short hours.
