Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is just a few weeks away from its upcoming UFC 159: "Jones vs. Sonnen" pay-per-view (PPV) event, which emanates from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ on April 27, 2013 and features a light heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones (champion) and Chael Sonnen (challenger).
What will Sonnen do against Jones that he was unable to do against Anderson Silva in two separate title fights as a middleweight? Nothing, according to "Bones," who says "The American Gangster" just doesn't have the chops to be champ.
"He's just weak in every way, shape or form. He taps before submissions are even sunk in. I put one hand around his throat he's probably gonna tap. He just doesn't believe and that's why he comes up short in every opportunity he has to be a champion. He doesn't have a champion's soul, heart, work ethic, nothing. He's not a champion. He's not made out of championship stuff. He just wants that spotlight. He wants that opportunity. He wants that big fight, and I'm gonna give him what he wants. I will defeat Chael Sonnen in an extremely devastating fashion."
Eight of Sonnen's 12 losses have come by way of submission.
Jones opted to put his 205-pound title on the line against the former 185-pound number one contender after finishing up his coaching duties on this season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 17, only because there were so few options remaining in his division.
Blame bum knees and fleet-footed "Dragons" for that.
