Dana White media scrum full video for UFC on FOX 7 in San Jose

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) held a formal media day earlier today (April 18, 2013) for this weekend's UFC on FOX 7: "Henderson vs. Melendez" mixed martial arts (MMA) event in San Jose, California.

Reigning lightweight titleholder Benson Henderson welcomes Gilbert Melendez, to the Octagon in the main event of the evening, while former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir will attempt to rebound from a knockout loss to Junior dos Santos at UFC 146 when he takes on highly touted Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix champion Daniel Cormier in Cormier's highly anticipated UFC debut.

Rounding out the main card will be a 155-pound contest of Nate Diaz vs. Josh Thomson and a welterweight scrap of Matt Brown vs. Jordan Mein.

All eight fighters were on hand at the media (see the staredown pics here) and afterwards UFC President Dana White spoke with the media for nearly one hour about the latest happenings in the world of MMA.

On top of further explaining how he managed to miraculously recover from his Meniere's disease, White discussed Saturday's event, what's next for welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre, the recent suspension of Matt Mitrione, Fallon Fox and much, much more.
