Programming alert: 'Countdown to UFC 159' premieres April 23 on FUEL TV

Countdown to UFC 159: "Jones vs. Sonnen" will debut on Tues., April 23, 2013, at 9 p.m. ET on FUEL TV to promote the upcoming pay-per-view (PPV) event scheduled for the following Saturday (April 27) at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

The network special will provide a glimpse into the preparation and training camps of the fighters set to headline the show, featuring reigning UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones taking on unlikely division number one contender Chael Sonnen.

UFC.com currently lists replays of "Countdown to UFC 159" at the following times (ET):

Weds., April 24 at 5 a.m., 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Thurs., April 25 at 11 p.m.
Fri., April 26 at 3 p.m.
Sat., April 27 at 7 p.m.

In addition to "Jones vs. Sonnen," the UFC 159 fight card will also feature a 185-pound battle between mouthy middleweight strikers Michael Bisping vs. Alan Belcher, along with a heavyweight contest that pits Roy Nelson vs. Cheick Kongo.

MMAmania.com will provide LIVE round-by-round, blow-by-blow coverage of the UFC 159 main card action on fight night (Sat., April 27, 2013), which is slated to begin promptly at 10 p.m. ET on PPV. The latest fight-by-fight updates of the live action will begin to flow earlier than that around 6:30 p.m. ET with the "Prelims" bouts on Facebook and FX Channel.
