Tyrone Spong vs. Angel DeAnda booked for World Series of Fighting (WSOF) 3 on June 14 in Las Vegas

If your first impression of this match-up is "bloodbath," just remember what happened to Uriah Hall at last weekend's TUF 17 Finale.

WSOF

Things aren't all bad over at the Blackzilians ... especially if you're Tyrone Spong.

The hard-hitting Surinamese-Dutch kickboxer made his mixed martial arts (MMA) debut at World Series of Fighting (WSOF) last November on NBC Sports, making mincemeat out of regional slugger Travis Bartlett. He promptly returned to his stand-up roots just last month, knocking out Remy Bonjasky in spectacular fashion in the second round of their GLORY 5 main event in London.

See it again here.

Now Spong returns to "Sin City" for his second appearance inside the WSOF cage (assuming it's the right size) when he takes on up-and-coming light heavyweight knockout artist Angel DeAnda at the WSOF 3 event on June 14, 2013, in Las Vegas, Nevada, according to MMA Fighting.

DeAnda (11-2) has been doing work on the west coast local circuit and currently boasts a four-fight winning streak. Of his 11 professional wins, 10 of them have come by way of knockout or technical knockout. Unfortunately "The Dream" lives and dies by the sword, having gone to sleep in both of his defeats.

Hard not to imagine a similar fate against a striking specialist like Spong.

WSOF is expected to be headlined by a welterweight battle pitting former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) stars Jon Fitch vs. Josh Burkman. No other fights have been confirmed for this card; however, we'll keep you updated as soon as they start to trickle in.
