White confirmed Berto's statement saying the two recently had a conversation about the two-time welterweight boxing champion testing himself in MMA competition. In what will like be encouraging to many who hope to see Berto one day fight in the UFC, White did not shoot down the idea of the 29-year-old joining the ranks of his promotion; however, he did not admit to wanting to sign Berto, either. The latest comments from the UFC's head-honcho are only going to add fuel to the fire of this story and it will be interesting to see where this story develops from here.
