TUF 17 Finale UFC results: Urijah Faber chokes out Scott Jorgensen

Urijah Faber used a rear-naked choke to submit Scott Jorgensen in the main event of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 17 Finale tonight (Sat., April 13, 2013) at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Here's how the fight played out.

USA TODAY Sports

Good friends (but better enemies) Urijah Faber and Scott Jorgensen put their agreements aside for tonight's (Sat., April 13, 2013) The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 17 Finale main event bantamweight bout at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The winner wasn't promised a title shot but really, who else is there at 135-pounds?

If Eddie Wineland is getting them, why not one of these two, right?

They opened the contest with Jorgensen getting the early edge with a takedown but Faber making a quick comeback thanks to a knee and a takedown of his own. He took Jorgensen's back but they scrambled and "The California Kid" still managed to do the typical Alpha Male thing and lock in a tight guillotine.

Not tight enough to get the tap, but tight nonetheless.

Unfortunately, the second round got off on the wrong foot with Faber accidentally kicking Jorgensen in the nuts. It looked rough but the bout restarted fairly quickly. From there, the two went back-and-forth in a closely contested round that could have gone either way.

Jorgensen really attempted his comeback in the third, working harder and taking Faber's back for a time, but the California native earned a late takedown to steal back some of the momentum leading into what used to be known as the "championship rounds."

It was there that Faber landed a double leg takedown, took Jorgensen's back, locked on the figure four, and forced him to tap out to a rear-naked choke.

Call him the division killer, Maniacs, cause he's knocking off contenders but losing to champions.
