If it seems like Urijah Faber is constantly involved in top contender bouts at whatever weight class he's inhabiting on any given Saturday night that's because that's exactly the case. He'll do it again later on this evening (Sat., April 13, 2013) at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, when he takes on Scott Jorgensen in the main event of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 17 Finale.
The fight is interesting not just because the two are perennial title contenders but because they're also good friends outside the cage. Naturally, that's a big focus leading up to their showdown in "Sin City."
Faber comments on it:
"We sparred each other, we've beat each other up before, and this is just we're going to get paid a bunch, we're going to do it a little bit longer and more intense."
Jorgensen adds:
"When we step in the cage that's the only thing that matters, is that 25 minutes and how we handle ourselves. I'm not worried about what Urijah is going to do. I don't care. I'm going to take care of my business and do what I do and let him worry about what I'm doing."
Sounds like they won't be holding back, much to our delight, right Maniacs?
