Welcome, Maniacs, to the thirty-ninth edition of "This Week in MMAmania.com." MMAmania is a gigantic and glorious place and we pump out a ridiculous amount of content. If you don't refresh this site every 60 minutes, you might just miss something amazing.
Have no fears, that's what this weekly article is all about! We'll recap the best of all things MMAmania, whether it be a great comment, a Fan Post, an article, video or something else.
- Comment of the Week: This one goes to ricky~dooby for his astute point about what MMAmania readers can be proud of in regards to our rival Bloody Elbow.
be proud of Bloodyelblow ban my friend
- biggant

i haven't joined.
that's how you know you are a true maniac.- ricky~dooby
- Article of the week: After a couple weeks away, it's good to have Mike Bohn back full time. That means we're graced by a fully researched fight facts article on Saturday night's TUF 17 event. This was a good one in case you missed it. Learn anything new?
- MMAmania's Verbal Submission Podcast: The podcast was back this week as yours truly and Mike Bohn talked to upcoming UFC on Fox 7 fighter Myles Jury as well as previewing The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale and dishing on all the craziness with Matt Mitrione and UFC's Code of Conduct.
Did you miss it? Don't worry, you can listen to the archived podcast by clicking on the player below:
- Statistic of the Week: You guys sure love your Diaz brothers. Two of our most popular articles this week were about them. One with Nick Diaz's attorney confirming he's still retired unless he gets his rematch and the other with Nate Diaz hiring Mike Kogan as his manager instead of Cesar Gracie. 209 bitches!
- Fanpost of the Week: Johnyboy6969 brought the heat with an in depth article on who should fight who following last weekends UFC on Fuel TV 9 event. I was thoroughly impressed by the effort he put into it. Go check it out if you haven't already.
- Honorable mention fanpost of the week: Make sure to get your nominations in for MMAmania's awards. If they don't get nominated, we don't have awards. What are you waiting for, go nominate something!
- Honorable mention comment of the week: This one goes to both biggerLebowski and Ninja Oreo Dollop for their hilarious reference to Tropic Thunder in regards to Matt Mitrione.
Rogan kinda said the same thing
He just didn't go full Mitrione- biggerLebowski
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Never go full Mitrione.
- Ninja Oreo Dollop
- Interview of the Week: We had some interesting interviews this week, none cooler than former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans on Monday night. If you missed that one, you missed a doozy.
But that's not all. We also have interviews with new Invicta atomweight champion Michelle Waterson, and AngryTwinkie interviewed TUF 17's Jimmy Quinlan.
- Burn of the Week: I bring this one back every time I see a good burn on Mania. This time, it was U308man, dropping bombs on eross350gt for his comment history:
WTF?!?!
if i see one more article on fucking WWE or anything like it i swear on my life i will never even consider looking at mmamania agian! seriously its "MMA" mania not "Fake Garbage" mania! This site is shit! take this shit off of a site about MMA!!!!!!!!!!
- eross350gt
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I see
So you joined 2 months ago and the only 3 comments you have made have been on the WWE threads. Are you looking at the MMA threads as your list of things you like to comment on would suggest otherwise.- U308man
- Video of the Week: If you weren't a fan of women's MMA, you will be after watching this incredibly well-edited video of Invicta FC 5's Rose Namajunas behind the scenes with boyfriend Pat Barry before, during and after his unbelievable 12 second flying armbar submission victory.
We don't just have great content on MMAmania, our writers also are very active on Twitter, most notably our beloved Geno Mrosko. Unfortunately, Geno seems to have deleted his Twitter account a while ago, so other Mania writers had to step up their game. Let's see how they did.
Here's our honorary #GenoTime Tweet of the Week: This time around, our winner is Andrew Richardson for saying what we've all been thinking in regards to every Fallon Fox headline:
The fact that people still give a shit about this Fallon Fox thing is absurd. Ugh
-Andrew Richardson
If you want to catch any good tweets from your Mania writers, here are our accounts: Thomas Myers, Jesse Holland,Adam Guillen Jr., Mike Bohn, Andrew Richardson, George Halvatsis Jr., Jason Probst and Brian Hemminger.
- Obligatory TNA of the Week: Mother of God.
- Scottidog's "Good guy comment of the week" - I was very happy to see the comments in AngryTwinkie's interview with TUF 17's Jimmy Quinlan. You guys know how to support your fellow Maniacs. I liked this comment from MBOW the best:
I was rooting for the guy almost like I knew him! lol He made it easy too bc he seems like a really cool dude! I was a bit upset that he seemed to give up so easily. After reading what he said makes me understand a little more, but thought he could have won that fight. It's not the biggest deal bc it's not like these guys don't get a chance to keep fighting in the UFC. As long as he keeps winning/looking good than he'll have a place inside the octagon! .
- MBOW
Lastly, let's finish off the week with some Maniac debate. As the week comes to a close, let's get some input:
Of the past 10 seasons or so, which winner of The Ultimate Fighter has the most potential as a prospect? (This includes TUF Brazil and TUF Smashes)
That's it for this week. If you've got an extra suggestions for content, or nominations for articles, comments or discussion topics, please feel free to e-mail me at (and I made this e-mail especially for this): HemmingerMMA@gmail.com.
