Two featherweights who recently picked up significant wins will try to continuing building momentum at UFC on FUEL TV 9: "Gustafsson vs. Mousasi" as The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) season 14 winner Diego Brandao takes on Pablo Garza in Stockholm, Sweden, on April 6, 2013.
UFC officials recently confirmed the 145-pound match up for the event.
Brandao (15-8) has found mixed results since winning his season of TUF, going 2-1 inside the Octagon with the lone defeat coming to featherweight stud Darren Elkins at UFC 146.
The Brazilian has finished his opponent in five of his last six victories.
Garza (12-3) teased about a move down the bantamweight division after defeating Mark Hominick at UFC 154 in Montreal; however, it seems those hopes are on hold as he is booked for another bout at 145-pounds.
The 29-year-old is 3-2 in five fights under the UFC banner, highlighting by the win over Hominick as well as bonus-winning efforts against Fredson Paixao and Yves Jabouin.
It is unknown at this time if Brandao vs. Garza will air on the main card, which airs on FUEL TV, or the preliminary portion of the card, which is likely to stream on Facebook.
UFC on FUEL TV 9: "Gustafsson vs. Mousasi" goes down April 9, 2013 from the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. The event headliner will see Alexander Gustafsson return to compete in his home country against former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi, who makes his UFC debut at the event.
