UFC quick quote: Georges St. Pierre is worried about the power of Johny Hendricks

Georges St. Pierre is fighting Nick Diaz at UFC 158 because the Stockton bad boy was calling him out and telling the world he was scared. Perhaps hard-hitting welterweight slugger Johny Hendricks is adopting the same formula?

Eric Bolte-USA TODAY Sports

"Carlos Condit is the tougher fight and what I'm trying to do is... if I do fight Condit and I win then there's nobody else in the division that get's the title shot. He said the only reason why I'm not the No. 1 contender in his eyes is because he thought I lost to Josh Koscheck. And so that's his claim, right? That's it. Who is he to be my judge? Who is he to keep me from something that I've earned. So that being said, that doesn't make any sense. I think that it might be that he's worried about my power and my wrestling abilities."

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight number one contender Johny Hendricks (via MMA Weekly) continues his campaign for a future title fight against reigning division champion Georges St. Pierre. "Bigg Rigg" will join "Rush" on the upcoming UFC 158 fight card on March 16 in Montreal. While St. Pierre defends against Nick Diaz, Hendricks will try to dispose of former title challenger Carlos Condit. Should both fighters prevail, it would be very hard to keep the bearded brawler -- passed over once before -- from getting the next shot at the champ. Unless, of course, GSP finds a way to convince Anderson Silva to finally drop down to 170 pounds for a "super fight."
